Public Sector undertakings (PSUs) using GATE 2012 scores for Engineer recruitment .

Recently Indianoil corpn. ltd (IOCL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)  are proposing to use the GATE 2012 scores and are doing away with their own recruitment written Exams.

This step has been taken takeing into consideration the resources being spent for conducting the written tests. Also as the Basic Syllabus for Recruitment Exams is exactly same as the GATE Exam, the authorities have take a wise decision to do away with their own exams. Indianoil had come out with their recruitment notification for 2012 in last week of September, BHEL had come out with their respective advertisement couple of days back

BHEL requires 750 Engineer Trainees – Mechanical, Civil, Electronics and Electrical

Eligibility Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised Indian University/ Institute in the disciplines of MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL/ ELECTRONICS/ CIVIL with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate of all years/ semesters.

Important Dates

# Commencement of on-line submission of applications: 23rd June, 2008.

# Closing of on-line submission of Applications : 10th July, 2008.

# Last date of receipt of Ack. Slips at BHEL: 15th July, 2008.
